John Pusateri

I can't believe I haven't posted the work of John Pusateri before! He makes beautiful images of dead birds (lithographs, drawings, and photographs) and of insects and animals and people. His sense of light and color are astounding.

Love, love, love these prints by Julia Manning! Animals, birds, fantastic colors, wonderful shapes. Mmm, and the rich golden yellow she favors is positively yummy.

Carrie Marrill

Wonderful paintings, gouache, and watercolor work from Carrie Marrill. I love all of her subject matter: animals, birds, strange scenes with cross-sections, plants, mushrooms, things on white backgrounds. She has such a lovely and diverse body of work, it was hard to choose what to post. Check out her website for sure.

Richard Barnes

Loving the Refuge photo series by Richard Barnes. Similar to my obsession with things on white backgrounds, I also really enjoy things on dramatic black backgrounds. I was just joking with my roommate that I don't really understand photography, but can relate to it pretty well it's just a picture of an object; then I can relate to it as I would the object itself.
