I am so enamored of Amy Cutler's work, and her balancing act between illustration and "fine art," whimsy and sinister, dream-like and unfamiliar, and between figure and ground. These gouache works are charming without being too sweet. I wish I could find larger images of her work, because the detail and linework are so wonderful.
