Erika Somogyi
I'm so in love with the colors and images and silhouettes and light in the watercolor and gouache work of Erika Somogyi. Apocalyptic, eerie, magical, and somehow cheery.
It feels like a wordless picture book of stunning quality and scope... my brain couldn't help turning the whole thing into a story.
The plot: the 1960's hippie movement is cut short by a nationwide plague. Panic & mass death. This takes place one year later, after society has collapsed...
